HSMC is located at 1654 DeKalb Street (Route 202 North)
in Norristown, Pa. Phone 610-272-0297.
DeKalb Street or Route 202 runs north and south. It
is called DeKalb Street or Pike depending where you
are located. In Norristown Borough the street runs ONE
WAY to the north
.
From the Pennsylvania Turnpike I-276 East/West
Exit at Norristown #333 (old exit 25) From the tollbooth
head for Germantown Pike West. You will proceed to the
bottom of the off ramp to a traffic light where you
will turn left onto Plymouth Road. Go a short distance
to the first intersection and turn right onto Germantown
Pike. Head west for 2.5 to 3 miles to Route 202. Prior
to coming to 202 there will be shopping centers on your
right and left. Turn left onto Route 202 South (pass
Mercy Suburban Hospital on your right and St. Patrick’s
Cemetery on your left) and travel about 1 mile to the
intersection of Johnson Highway. Turn right onto Johnson
Highway. Proceed to Powell Street the first street on
your left. Turn left onto Powell Street and proceed
to Roberts Street. Turn left onto Roberts Street. Travel
2 blocks back to DeKalb Street. Go straight across and
enter the driveway for HSMC.
From the Northeast Extension of the Pa. Turnpike (I-476
South)
Travel to the end of the Northeast Extension. Exit for
the East/West turnpike heading WESTBOUND take the first
exit #333 (old exit 25) for Norristown and follow the
directions above beginning with from the tollbooth.
From the Blue Route (I-476 North)
Travel to the end of I-476 to the exit for Germantown
Pike West and get off there. The bottom of the exit
places you on Chemical Road bear or turn right onto
Chemical Road and proceed a short distance to the next
intersection which is Germantown Pike. Turn left onto
Germantown Pike and head west and follow the instructions
above beginning with head west.
From Route 202 North.
After leaving the expressway section of 202 you will
enter the King of Prussia section of Upper Merion Township.
Route 202 (DeKalb Pike) becomes a 4-lane highway with
numerous traffic lights. Head north for about 2 miles
until you see a green overhead sign for Bridgeport.
Exit to the right and proceed through Bridgeport on
202 north. Cross the Schuylkill River into Norristown
and continue north on 202 for about 1 mile. This mile
will take you through the center of Norristown. As you
head north on DeKalb Street you will come to a blinking
caution light. Keep going until the next traffic light.
Just beyond the next traffic light you come to is the
old Sacred Heart Hospital now called the Montgomery
County Human Resources Center. This is the 1400 block
of DeKalb Street. HSMC is 2 blocks up on the right.
From I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway) East or West.
Travel to the exit for I 476 North and get off there.
Follow the instructions above beginning From the Blue
Route.
Route 202 is also intersected by Ridge Pike (Main Street)
in Norristown, Route 73 (Skippack Pike) in Center Square
or Whitpain Township and Route 309 in Montgomeryville
